Another great crowd pleaser on a cold night is chili, and there is no
better way to cook tasty chili than in a crock pot. This next recipe
works for a family or a party. It cooks all day while you are doing
other things, and is ready to go when you are that evening. Be sure to
make plenty because this goes really fast!
Ingredients:
500g boneless beef round steak, cut into ½ inch pieces
1 cup chopped onion
800 g of diced tomatoes, undrained
500 g can of tomato sauce
1 package of Chili Seasoning Mix
500g can of kidney beans, drained
2 small cans of black olives
2 small cans of mushrooms
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients, EXCEPT beans, in the crock pot. Mix well.
Cover and cook on low heat for about 7 hours. At the end of that time,
add beans and cook an additional 15 minutes. Serve hot with tortilla
chips or Fritos, topped with sour cream and grated cheese.
